Paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and part-time four-wheel drive, this powertrain gives the Tacoma traditional truck capability for:

Saskatchewan Winter Driving

Camping

Cabin Trips

Recreational Use

Towing

Highway Travel

Everyday Transportation

Genuine Part-Time 4WD

The Tacoma's part-time four-wheel-drive system uses a two-speed transfer case with high and low range, providing additional traction when road or terrain conditions require it.

Toyota also equipped the V6 4WD Tacoma with Active Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Control, helping manage wheel slip on snow, gravel and loose surfaces.

Practical Double Cab + 6-Foot Box

The combination of a Double Cab and six-foot bed makes this Tacoma especially versatile.

You get full rear doors and seating for five while retaining additional bed length compared with the more common short-box Double Cab configuration.
